Acceptable accuracy of INR measurement According to [1], measurement of INR with 10% more or less than the reference value is acceptable for any laboratory. However, synchronising all laboratories to this requirement, especially if they are using automated coagulometers, seems to be difficult. In most cases, differences are attributable to differences in the actual ISI value of a particular coagulometer/tromboplastin combination, which means that the lack of concordance between INR values increases with the value of of the INR.
